Bob Forsythe was a Listening Ear
volunteer and Board member. Bob was always attempting to find ways to
organize fundraisers for The Ear. In the spring of 1997, while Bob was
being treated for cancer, he and his wife Louise started talking about
organizing a benefit run/walk to take place sometime the next year.
Bob did not live to see this run materialize. After Bob's passing,
Louise and many of their friends worked to make Bob's wishes become a
reality. Now Bob's Run has become an annual event.
This run is more than just a fundraiser
for The Ear. It is dedicated to the memory of Bob Forsythe and a way
to bring friends and community together each year to laugh and to get
reacquainted -- the essence of Bob's life. The race has taken place every summer for
seven years. |
