The Listening Ear defines sexual assault as any
unwanted sexual contact. Rape or incest can happen to
anyone. Many people who have been raped feel confused and
upset. If you have been raped you may question whether anyone
will believe what you say, and you may doubt what you are
feeling. At The Listening Ear, a survivor of sexual assault
will find support no matter what.
Services provided by The Listening Ear
include:
-
Short Term Counseling - one on one counseling
both for survivors of sexual assault and for the people who care
about them
-
Advocacy - support and information for
survivors at the hospital, police station, and/or
court
-
Community Education - counselors from The
Listening Ear are available to speak with community and school
groups about sexual assault issues.
All of our services are free and
confidential. The Listening Ear is always open, so you can
call or stop in at any time.
